The Korean Wave, or hallyu, has put Korea on the map as the entertainment and pop culture capital of the world. Super Junior, one of the forerunners of hallyu, has achieved extraordinary success like no other Korean group, sweeping fans of all ages from Asia to Europe. Having debuted in 2005, Super Junior defined the idol genre by covering all forms of entertainment – from singing, hosting, acting, and modeling. Their hottest hits include Sorry Sorry, Bonamana, Mr. Simple, and Mamacita.

Girls’ Generation is the epitome of girl power garnering international fame through their trademark upbeat and catchy songs, unforgettable dance moves, lively personality, and incredible stage presence. The beautiful, modelesque girls are trending worldwide for their fashion sense, beauty, and talent with such phenomenal songs as Gee, Genie, I got a boy, and Mr. Mr.

With Super Junior and Girls’ Generation, a new batch of upcoming talents are on the rise. Having debuted in 2014, Red Velvet is a four-member group of multinational origin that combines a balance of fierce, cute, and youthful image.  Two of their hit songs are Happiness and Be Natural.  On the other hand, BtoB is a seven member boy group formed in 2012 that has been garnering stardom as the next “big thing” by taking home the prestigious “Next Generation” award at the 27th Golden Disk Award in 2013 and being invited across Japan and Southeast Asia to perform their unique and exciting blend of electro-hip-hop-pop dance and music.

All four groups will finally astound with amazing performances prepared especially for Filipino fans.

Clearly, the Philippines is being swept by the hallyu wave like crazy.
